This album is Hailu Mergia reborn, his first new LP in over 15 years, a beautiful creation that encapsulates the resurgence of his career and years of performing to new audiences around the globe. Featuring Hailu’s trademark accordion sound as well as other instruments, it’s part mellow and dreamy and part frantic energy. Stand out tracks for us are the bubbling title track Lala Belu and the chilled piano sound of Yefikir Engurguro.
