MARGATE OFF-LICENCE

______

We’re super excited to bring an Eat Ethio DJ set to Margate Off-Licence, our favourite early evening hangout!

Deke has a unique gift for creating spaces that feel warm and inviting. From the days of The Three Kings in Clerkenwell to the Rose in June, his places are always welcoming, friendly and beautifully nostalgic and exciting to be in.

I still remember the first time I heard Deke play ‘Gigi’ on Margate Radio and how warmly he welcomed us at the @roseinjunemargate when we first moved to Margate. Doing something with him has always been something we were looking forward to and now it’s happening :)

Join us for an evening of Ethiopian tunes and good vibes until sunset.
Come listen and hang out with us!

COFFEE CEREMONY

______

I’m very happy to be returning to beautiful Cornwall and the magical Sennen Cove for a special gathering at Sennen Summer Fayre. I’ll be sharing the ancient art of the Ethiopian coffee ceremony, to celebrate and spark conversation about this unique and special Ethiopian ritual, discussing its significance in society and the origins of coffee itself.

The ceremony will encompass the hand roasting of single origin Ethiopian coffee beans using a clay Mitad and brewed using the traditional terracotta Jebena coffee pot, accompanied by blessing herbs, frankincense and myrrh to ground and uplift.

The ceremony will include the use of vintage Ethiopian coffee ceremony objects and artefacts and feature my handmade ceramics.
